Oklahoma - River Tour

Saturday, 19 May 2018

Today being the 3rd Saturday of May - Armed Forces Day - Mike, being a Veteran, got a free tour.  1st tour took us from Exchange Landing, through May Lock, to Meridan Landing and back to Exchange Landing.  2nd tour took us from Exchange Landing, through Basin Lock, to Bricktown Landing to Regatta Park and back to Exchange Landing.  About 1 hr 30 mins of each roundtrip.   I enjoy the ferry rides very much.

Fort Sill

Friday, 18 May 2018

We didn't know we have to get a pass from the Visitor Control Center before we were allowed through the gate.  Good thing, we didn't plan to visit the place in the afternoon, which gave us the time to drive to the Visitor Control Center, which is a few miles away, and then return to the gate.

Muskogee - Honor Heights Park

Friday, 27 April 2018

It was listed in the AAA Travel Guide as a place of interest.   Mike knows that I love to visit gardens even though I don't like gardening.  Who doesn't like the beauty of flowers and scenic landscapes?

It was about 2 hours drive from our home.   Thanks to Mike, we were able to visit the park.   I think it is beautiful place to relax.   I think if the weather has not been so crazy this month, with some cold fronts, there would have been more flowers.

Hershey - Hershey's Chocolate World

Friday, 20th October 2017

An evening at the visitor's center of the famous Hershey chocolate.   I enjoyed the Hershey's chocolate tour.

I don't think that clock is real or working.   Definitely not the time we were there.

Intercourse - Kitchen Kettle Village

Friday, 20 October 2017

An interesting name for a city, Intercourse.   Enjoyed the Kitchen Kettle Village, historic Pennsylvania Dutch village.

The best ice cream I have ever tasted

Love the smell of the candles in the factory.  And this is the store to buy them.

Honks PA - Katie's Kitchen

Friday, 20 October 2017

1st time at an Amish restaurant.  Lunch was great!   I really enjoyed what I ordered which is the Chef Salad (ham, turkey, roast beef served on leaf lettuce, carrots, tomato wedges, onions, hard boiled eggs and cheese) $6.95

Saw this across the other side of the road
