Memorial Day 2011

Monday, 30 May 2011

The day was quite nice, not hot, even though it is a little too windy. Michael played the bagpipes at the Memorial service at the Bristow cemetery.

Flea Markets and Dog Show

Saturday, 28 May 2011

Flea Markets in the United States are like Pasar Malam in Malaysia.

This is the 3rd flea market that I have visited in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We visited the Admiral Flea Market (9401 East Admiral Place, Tulsa, OK 74115) and the Great American Flea Market (9210 East Admiral Place, Tulsa, OK 74115) on Friday, 6 May 2011.

This is the Tulsa Flea Market (4145 East 21st Street, Tulsa, OK 74114) and it is opened every Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm.

It didn't take long for me to get bored. I guess I didn't need anything there. So I left Michael there (he loves to look at old stuff) and I walked to a dog show which happened to be held this weekend, in the same buiding.

Forgot the name of this Saint Bernard at this time of blogging. Spotted him and was told that he won in one of the show. He is heavier and bigger than me!

Cherry Street Farmers Market

Saturday, 14 May 2011

Thanks to the GPS, we didn't have any problem locating the Cherry Street Farmers Market (between Quaker and Rockford Avenues), which is on the intersection of East 15th Street and South Peoria Avenue, Tulsa.

Flowers on sale....

Irish music and dance

This is the best part. Seeing a church friend. Didn't know she was selling.
