Highest temperature would be 36 deg F at 3 pm today. It was good to see the sun even though it was glaring. It would take a few days before all is melted. I hope they melt away quickly and the water get sucked up quickly by the dry ground!
Snow melting on the roof of a store house belonging to a resident of the street.
A tractor shovelling away the snow from the road.
Snow changed to ice on the grass.
It was a whole new world to me initially There are 4 seasons. Drive on the right side and not the left side of the road. Unless it is multiway switching, push up the wall switch to turn the light on. What else...................... People are the same when it comes to family values, etc. etc. ..... Come, share with me...... as time goes. The Aftermath of the Snow Storm
Friday, 29 January 2009
The warning and then the real thing. The snow storm started midnight on Wednesday 27 January until 6 am Central Standard Time today.
There was only the netting in the back door and the snow had gotten in!
As for the front door, there were snow between the netting and the glass panel!
I could only open the door a tiny bit, enough for me to measure the amount of snow that has accumulated - 10 inches!
Called Roger and jokingly told him that we are trapped in the house! There was no intention of going anywhere. The ground and the road were covered with inches of snow. Roger answered that he and his son had just helped a car on the road, and would come to shovel away the snow to our front door!
I like the picture of father and son. They looked cute. Dad wore the orange hat and son wore the matching orange gloves!
